“Daffodils” available for purchase at the Hub or online!
April is here, and it is now “Spring”. I think of it as a gift to us. It is a time of new things and a time for renewal. I am working on some new artwork and using a new palette. I will display some of my new work on the blog this month. Later I will have it hanging on my wall at the Hub. I am also going to have another Watercolor over Pen and Ink, Workshop at the Hub on Monday, April 8th. For those interested in trying out watercolor or getting back into it, this is an introduction to the medium. I have also updated the shopping cart on my website. So read below for more details and events….
Monthly Gallery Walk on Canal Street: I will be at The Hub on Canal, Saturday, April 6, from 1 pm to 4 pm. I plan on having a table in the Lobby and have a few framed pieces on display. I will also do some painting too. Save the Date: Saturday, May 4, 2019: 1 pm, I will be doing a Talk Art on Watercolor Painting.

“Wonderful Watercolor” The Artist’s Workshop Gallery on Canal Street, will open Saturday, April 6 with the “Wonderful Watercolor” Show. I will have a piece entered into the show. The reception will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The show will be up through May 30, 2019. I hope you will stop by.
Evy Okerstrom Workshop Monday, April 8, 2019: This will be very similar to the last one I held in February. If someone wants to bring a reference picture to work from, they can. Otherwise I will have some drawings all set for you to paint. The Workshop is from 10 am to 4 pm. The price is $70. And if you need supplies, I charge $30 for them and you can pay me the day of the class. I have left a supply list at the registration desk to look at or pick up when you register. Registration is online or at the Hub.
Thank you: For coming to the Hub’s Annual Spring Sale and buying my paintings, prints, calendars and cards. I really appreciated your support and seeing everyone. Also, thanks to everyone who has signed up to display a painting at Dr. Elizabeth Daquila’s Office in Port Orange. We will hang the paintings on Friday April 5th at 10 am.
Website Shopping Cart: I had a few people who said they could not figure out how to use the shopping cart. I have looked at it and saw it needed to be revised. Thanks to Danny Crum, Webmaster, we have it fixed and you can use any card to purchase items and there is free shipping. I do have to charge FL Sales Tax, which is 6.5%. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this.
Here is my thought for today: “So many people work in arenas that discourage creativity. In fact, society as a while attempts to persuade us not to consider an independent creative lifestyle as a wise choice. Nevertheless I guarantee that whatever your chosen field, art will enrich your life…”

Thank you again for your support, Evy
