“Evy in 4th Grade, Valley Forge, PA”, by Evy Okerstrom,
Watercolor, Pen & Ink, $375.
This will be available in the Founders Gallery at the Hub on Canal April 5th.

Happy spring! This blog will be short as I write it before leaving for Colombia.

In March, I entered the Hub’s April exhibit in the Founders Gallery. The theme is “Nostalgic Moments: Echoes of Childhood”. It runs from April 5th to April 27th.

I will continue teaching classes at Trinity Lutheran Church on Mondays 12:30-3:30 PM through April. We’re using the Annette Compton book to learn about mixing colors and creating mood.

“Pencil Drawing with layered watercolor washes, and acrylic ink, to create textures on rocks.”

Urban Sketching classes at the Hub ended March 12th.  We focused on the textures of glass, metal and rock with watercolor, pen & ink. Check out students work on my Instagram page @evyokerstrom. I will continue with classes at the Hub in September.

The Artists’ Workshop classes will be ending Thursday April 17th. If you are still interested in classes, consider joining me at the Hub or Trinity Lutheran.

Thank you for reading. Wishing each of you a Happy Easter and a Happy Passover!
