Christmas holidays are coming and as always there is a feeling of anticipation, and of excitement of what may be coming our way on Christmas Day. Some of the days can be hectic, and it is important to take some time out for you. I am taking a Yoga class with Gail Merrit, at The Hub on Canal, once a week. This is a chance to relax and reconnect with my inner self. As the days lead up to Christmas, I am grateful for what I have; friends, beautiful surroundings, and the ability to do artwork. During this last month of the year, I use this time to review the past year, and plan what I want to accomplish for my business in the coming year, 2019. I already have some commitments lined up: The month of January, I will have an exhibit of my watercolor paintings at Nature and Beauty, at 426 Canal Street, NSB. Then in February, I will have my Workshop, “Watercolor over Pen and Ink”. I have had sign ups already for this one. Saturday, May 4th, I am at The Hub on Canal, to do a Talk Art on the “Art of Watercolor”. October, the Florida Watercolor Society will have their annual convention in Orlando. I plan to attend, and take a workshop. Tucked in here will be a vacation too!
Calendar Update: The Evy Okerstrom, 2019 Calendars are now available for sale at $15. You can find them at The Hub on Canal or through me or my website. I think this is a beautiful calendar…it has a bonus…it is a 13 month calendar. I am going to highlight it this month and include pictures of the front and back. There are some favorites like the Fresh Blueberries and Josie’s Chicken, and a few that are new.

Something new: I am also offering small pictures (5” x 5”) framed of various subjects. They are pen and ink drawings with watercolor wash. They are at The Hub for $20 each. I am introducing two new cards this month: “Donna’s Garden” and “White Ibis” Both are from original paintings.
Thank you and here is my thought for today: “In the final analysis, you have got to not forget to laugh.” This is a quote from Katherine Hepburn.
