February is here and with it comes Valentine’s Day and Workshops. February 7, 8 & 9, I will be attending a Workshop with Steve Rogers at the Artists’ Workshop here in NSB. Then on Monday, February 18, 2019, I will be holding my Workshop: “Watercolor over Pen and Ink “, at the Hub on Canal, NSB. It is from 10 am to 4 pm. The response has been excellent and as I write this, I think the class is filled. I have written a note to each student to welcome them and see if they need any supplies or have questions. I am looking forward to both workshops.
My First Solo Exhibit: Saturday, January 5th, at the Nature in Beauty Spa, was a success and I was pleased to see many of my friends that night. Attached are some photos taken at the event. The Publix food was great and I want to thank Liz Jones, Spa Owner, for letting me have this great exhibit. She was wonderful to work with. Their website is: natureinbeautyorganics.com.
First Saturday on Canal Street: Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 10 am to 2 pm…I am going to have a table set up at the Hub on Canal. I will be working on some new things. Please stop by to see me and let me know what you have been doing. Also, check out my Hub Display Wall. I have put up some new artwork with a fruit and vegetable theme. The Yellow Peppers picture is new, and I had it made into a card too. Check out the Valentine’s Day card.
Save the Date: The Artists’ Workshop Members Show: January 19, 2019 thru Saturday February 23, 2019. I have a picture, “Egret with Yellow Feet” hanging in the show. Try to get there as there is a lot of good art to see.
A Thank you: Thank you so much for your kind thoughts about my Mother’s recent passing. I appreciate your emails, cards, and thoughtful words. It is nice to know I have so many wonderful friends and family.
Here is my thought for today: “I try to catch the judge’s eye with good composition and design but my true inspiration comes from four words “try to be different”. Paint something no else is painting.
