These cards are available for purchase at the Hub or online!

Remember that saying: If March comes in as a lion. It will go out like a lamb.  It’s about the weather of course. March is known as a changeable weather month…like we are going from winter to spring…so if the weather is bad or roaring like a lion in the beginning, it might be going out like a lamb bringing spring like warm weather… Well, there are a lot of art events going on this month and we do not want to keep lions or lambs from letting us get out and enjoy art! So, here we go…..

Monthly Gallery Walk on Canal Street:     I will be at the Hub, Saturday, March 2, from 10 am to 2 pm. I will be doing a painting demo in the Lobby.  I will also have some new artwork on my display wall, so I look forward to seeing everyone.

Sale! Sale! Sale!  The Hub Annual Spring Sale is Saturday, March 23, 2019, 10 am to 4 pm.  This is a once a year event. You will not want to miss this one. Come early as there is usually a line outside to get in to get some of the artwork you have always wanted.  I will be there with some of my cards, paintings and prints.

Update:  Evy Okerstrom Workshop:  The Workshop on Monday February 18th was a real success.  Nine attended, and we had a great time.  This was a chance for some people to get back into watercolor painting.  One person said she rediscovered the joy of painting. Then there were one or two who never had explored watercolor painting, and they left liking it and wanting to continue.  I am attaching a few pictures from the workshop.  Most of the class seemed to want to have another workshop. I have checked with the Hub and will probably schedule another one in April 2019. I will set a date in the next few days and be in touch with everyone.

Miscellaneous Stuff:  Continuing Education for me…I attended the Steve Rogers Workshop at the Artists’ Workshop in February.   This was an excellent experience and I was introduced to a new color palette. I hope to do some painting with these colors and show you some of the work next month.  Also, I am still attending Betty Morris Parker’s drawing class every Thursday at the Artists’ Workshop.

Call to Artists:  I am looking for new artwork to hang at Dr. Elizabeth Daquila’s office in Port Orange.  This is one of the Artists’ Workshop’s Community Galleries.  We are looking to hang them later this month or early April.  If interested, or have questions, let me know.

Here is my thought for today:  “Great minds discuss ideas.  Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”
